LGBQTI+ Family law advice

Issues we can help with:

We can provide free legal advice on a number of different family law issues, including divorce, separation, de facto couples, same sex couples, parenting issues, family mediation, property disputes, child support and court procedure.

Eligibility:

We provide advice to individuals that meet our specialist criteria being part of the LGBQTI+ community, or whose children meet this criteria.

How to make an appointment:

To make an appointment please call ICLC on 02 9332 1966 between 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm Monday to Friday. You can also email us to request an appointment at iclc@iclc.org.au.

You will be asked to provide some in-take processes and an outline of your legal issue. If you are eligible for our services, you may then be booked in for a appoiuntment.

The Family Advocacy and Support Service (FASS) can provide support and legal help if you are affected by domestic and family violence. For more information call 9219 6300.

The Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service provides information, court advocacy and referrals for women in domestic violence situations and assistance with getting an ADVO. You can contact WDVCAS on 1800 938 227.

For counselling, information and referral support, call 1800 RESPECT on 1800 737 732.

For information on family relationship issues and advice on parenting arrangements after separation, contact the Family Relationships Advice Line on 1800 050 321.
